Notes:
- Specimens from Algeria (Athias-Henriot, 1958b) reidentified as Proprioseiopsis messor (Wainstein) — Athias-Henriot (1961). Athias-Henriot (1966) made no reference to the occurence of this species in that country. Thus, the reports of A. foenalis in Alger, Algeria, by Athias-Henriot (1957a, 1959) are questionable.;
