Notes:
- (a): Oudemans (1930b, 1936): questioned identification of immatures and females; males reidentified as A. andersoni — Yoshida-Shaul & Chant (1995a).;
- (b): Chant (1959b) suggested that the species commonly called T. [sic] similis in America should probably be different from T. [sic] similis from the Paleartic Region.;
- (c): Specimens from California, USA (Chant, 1959b) reidentified as Amblyseius similoides Buchellos & Pritchard — Buchellos & Pritchard (1960). This should probably also be the case in relation to other reports of T. [sic] similis from California and Texas, USA and Mexico.;
