The Department of Entomology and Acarology (LEA) provides quality education in Entomology and Acarology area for the formation of ethical and competent professionals with a spirit of leadership in teaching, research, extension and administrative management in national and international institutions of the public and private sector.
Undergraduate
The Department seeks to train professionals with knowledge in several basic and applied areas of Entomology and Acarology who are able to develop adequate solutions and / or coordinate programs aiming at the sustainable management of insects and mites.
It offers undergraduate courses for Bachelor programs in Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Management and Biological Sciences.
Graduate
The LEA hosts the Graduate Program in Entomology. Created in 1968, the Graduate Program (PPG) in Entomology of ESALQ has consolidated its path in the pursuit of excellence and international recognition by being graded with the highest score (7) by CAPES in the triennal assessment of Graduate Programs.
